Synopsis
On a Friday afternoon, Faith learns she’s been selected for a prestigious overseas exchange program. Thrilled, she rushes home to share the news, only to find her mother has taken her sister to a doctor’s appointment. Later, at her father’s apartment, he refuses to sign the acceptance papers and her sister’s needs. Hurt and overwhelmed, Faith runs off, feeling invisible. Back home, she’s confronted with reminders of her sister’s struggles and breaks down. After a dreamlike vision of being on a gameshow Faith wakes with resolve, smooths out the crumpled letter, and signs it herself.
